Fundraising Event at Creator Space in Temecula

It has been crazy busy in the Lampi house. My Husband Daniel and I went to check out this Biannual Costume and Cosplay Extravaganza at Creator Space in Temecula last Saturday.

I had heard about this event on Facebook from some friends. I figured a free Cosplay event with workshops I couldn’t go wrong. So I got dressed up in some on my basic cosplay gear and Daniel and I headed down to Temecula.

This event was wonderful. It was a small event but the workshops were fun and the vendors were great, although placed in a tight space. Tayliss Forge from Steampunk’d was there. She was selling prints wire elf ears and was a guest speaker. My wonderful Tara from Gear Oils was there as well.

All workshops were free however, there was a suggested fee and all proceeds went to supples to continue this great workshop.

My husband and I did the wands. It was such a blast. I can only hope that once I get the tools I can make more myself.

I got daring and did the curly design. Daniel’s was the one on the right with the beautiful handle.

The Creator Space was created because there has been a decline of shop class in high school. The Creator Space is a non-profit corporation and is place where kids and adults can learn and teach classes on costume ideas, wood shop, and soldering. The Creator Space is open Monday-Friday  10am-8pm and Saturday  10am-6pm. These events are held twice a year to help raise money to continue this dream of having a space where kids and adults can use a workspace learn new techniques and let their creativity flow. If you are in the area I recommend you check this place out.
